1. Find the recording

Search from what you already know, or describe the production to Neo. Period, scene, source music or score, cultural context and historical fit can all change which recording belongs.

Neo can help distinguish between a composition and the particular recorded performance, including situations where a later arrangement would be inappropriate for the period on screen.

2. Build the brief

As the conversation develops, Neo gathers the information needed for the licensing enquiry, including the production, intended use, media, territory, term and other relevant details.

Missing information remains visible before submission becomes available, so you can see what still needs to be established.

3. Review and send

Nothing is submitted automatically.

Once the required information is complete, you can review the enquiry and explicitly send it to Digital Gramophone.

Conversation can be fluid. Submission is explicit.

4. Human licensing review

Rights research, availability, clearance, pricing and agreements are handled by people.

Neo helps make sure the musical and production context reaches the licensing team clearly, but he does not make rights or pricing decisions.

5. Return to the case

Every successfully submitted licensing enquiry receives a Digital Gramophone reference.

Bring that reference back to Neo later and the case can be resumed without rebuilding the enquiry from the beginning.

Already know the recording?
