Digital Gramophone is the founding archive. Neo is built to hold more than one: to help rights holders make historic recordings easier to find, understand and licence, while keeping control of the catalogue and the final licensing decision.
What we accept
Historic catalogues only.
Digital Gramophone currently considers catalogues of commercially published sound recordings first released no later than 31 December 1962.
We deliberately keep the collection historically focused. Every catalogue is reviewed before acceptance, and not every submission will be suitable for Neo.
Catalogue eligibility does not mean that every right associated with a recording is necessarily in the public domain. Composition, lyrics, publishing, territorial and other applicable rights may need to be considered separately.

More than uploading a spreadsheet.
Adding a catalogue to Neo involves preparing and normalising the source metadata, preserving catalogue provenance, resolving structural issues and integrating the repertoire so Neo can search and reason over it appropriately.

Licensing
Your catalogue remains yours.
Digital Gramophone does not require exclusivity. Rights holders retain ownership, control of the catalogue and final approval over licensing decisions.
Where a licensing opportunity originates through Digital Gramophone, licence income is shared between the rights holder and Digital Gramophone unless otherwise agreed.
Rights research, availability, pricing and final approval remain human decisions. Inclusion in Neo is not permission for a production to use a recording.
